Caffeine lovers always brew fresh granules straight from coffee grinders. Coffee beans release its rich flavor when ground to optimal size. Coffee grinders can be manual or electric with settings for single or multiple levels of fineness. Ground coffee can be coarse, medium, fine, extra fine and Turkish. Coarse granules are similar to kosher salt. Whereas, medium grind is as hard as sand. Fine is similar to table salt while extra fine is smaller than sugar granules but not yet in powdered form. Turkish grind is pure and powdery like flour. Every brewing method requires a specific coffee grind.
